Garrett Elementary holds end of year Teacher Appreciation and Field Day

Garrett Elementary holds end of year Teacher Appreciation and Field Day

Every time I go to Garrett Elementary it seems like it is a special day with a theme. On this day they had a field day and carnival like atmosphere.

On Friday Garrett Elementary School had their Family Fun Field Day, and their Teacher Appreciation Day all in one big event. The students, teachers and staff had food, fun, and gifts presented to them all day long inside the school.  They do this event every year around the end of school.

Outside games consisted of hula hoops, sack races, boys and girls competing with each other at running and just having fun socializing with each other. The pre-k students all the way to the fifth graders all got out in the sunshine to play and enjoy the spring day in the fresh air.

The kids needed a day to unwind because they just got through with end of the year testing. The teachers needed the day as well.
