MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An apartment fire has forced some Montgomery residents out of their homes.

The fire occurred last night at the Bridge Kroft Apartments on Strathmore Drive off of the East South Boulevard.

Fire officials tell WSFA 12 News that when they arrived on the scene, they saw flames and smoke coming out of the first and second floors of the building. It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

Residents were able to get out of their apartments safely. No injuries were reported.

Apartment management say that they are making arrangements for people displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical.
