MPD Investigating Fatal Traffic Crash | News

The Montgomery Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in one fatality. The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, in the 100 block of Longview Court. The driver of the vehicle, William Bennett, 39, of Montgomery was transported to Baptist Medical Center South, where he later was pronounced dead. MPD’s investigation indicates the vehicle, a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe, lost control and overturned. Accident investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash, and no further information is available for release at this time. This is the city of Montgomery’s second traffic fatality of 2013.
