Montgomery, AL – The River Region United Way (RRUW) has raised $4,849,981 to date toward its campaign goal of $5,400,000 to benefit the residents of the River Region.
Jimmy Hill, Director of Resource Development with RRUW, said, “At 90% of our goal, we’re almost there. Our donor community has been generous, and we’ve received nearly $1.5 million in gifts and pledges just in these last four weeks.”
Hill added, “United Way must receive $550,000 in charitable contributions and pledges by the end of this year in order to meet the demand for services here in our River Region.”
With the uncertainty in Washington D.C. about the tax deductibility of charitable donations in the future, you can ensure that you receive your tax deduction by making a gift before the end of the year.
You can impact a life in the River Region with a donation of as little as $39. You can even pledge your support now and pay in installments next year. Gifts can be made securely online at www.RiverRegionUnitedWay.org, or checks can be mailed to this address:
