Fatal crash claims life of Montgomery woman | News

MPD is investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The crash occurred on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, shortly before midnight on Interstate 85 north at the Perry Hill Road exit.

The crash resulted in the death of the front seat passenger, Latisha Henderson, 21, of Montgomery. The driver and an infant were transported to Baptist Medical Center South where they are currently listed in non-life threatening condition.

MPD’s investigation indicates that the vehicle lost control and struck the concrete divider. Accident investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash, and no further information is available at this time. This is the city of Montgomery’s 18th traffic fatality of 2012. 

In an unrelated crash at the scene, police arrested a pickup truck driver after his vehicle struck and totaled two police cars blocking the scene of the fatality crash. Shana Hanrahan, 30, of Montgomery was charged with driving under the influence. There were no injuries related to this crash.
