Loveless accepted as International Baccalaureate Programme candidate | News
Loveless Academic Magnet Program has joined two other Montgomery Public Schools a candidate for the prestigious International Baccalaureate programme. Lamp High School is a candidate school* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Montgomery Public Schools believes is important.
Earlier this week McMillan International Academy and Carr Middle School were named as IB candidates. Loveless is a candidate for the Diploma Programme, McMillan for the Early Years Programme, and Carr for the Middle Years Programme.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
