Crump Senior Center loses roof to wind | News
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery Emergency Management Association officials are on the scene at the Crump Senior Center. Authorities say winds from the storm passing over the area stripped the Center of its roof.
Another building nearby also sustained roof damage according to Steve Jones with the Montgomery County EMA. Authorities are investigating what type of winds were responsible for the damage.
Thirty to forty people were inside the building that also houses an MPD Substation at the time of the storm. No injuries were reported. People inside the center were working on setting up for a Rummage Sale to raise proceeds for the center - that sale will have to be canceled due to the damage to the building.
