Zoobilation 2012 coming up on September 20 | Events
MONTGOMERY, AL: The Montgomery Zoo and the Montgomery Area Zoological Society are proud to announce, Zoobilation 2012, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Montgomery Zoo. This exciting evening will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 6:00pm. Hosted by the Montgomery Area Zoological Society, Zoobilation is a fun-filled, adult only, cocktail party, gathering and fundraiser. There will be live musical entertainment, delicious food and a live and silent auction to benefit the Zoo’s future, touch-and-feel STINGRAY exhibit.
Zoobilation 2012 is a continuing effort and part of a multi-year project to raise money for the new stingray exhibit at the Montgomery Zoo. This exhibit will be a touch-and-feel encounter allowing children and adults alike the opportunity to gather at Stingray Bay and experience a one-on-one encounter with a multitude of free-swimming stingrays. Past Zoobilations have aided the Montgomery Zoo in building the African Elephant habitat, North American River Otter exhibit and the newly opened Zoofari Skylift ride.
Zoobilation 2012 is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, beginning at 6:00pm. The night will include a smörgåsbord of great-tasting food; cocktails and specialty drinks; energized live entertainment, action-packed live and silent auctions and many more surprises. But more importantly, Zoobilation provides guests the opportunity to dine and mingle with some of the River Region’s elite. Corporate executives, local dignitaries and area business people will be in attendance making new friends and contacts in a truly relaxing and distinctive venue.
