Tips for using Montgomery's drop-off recycling program

Montgomery Clean City Commission wants to remind all citizens in the river region to take advantage of the convenient recycling drop-off containers located throughout the City of Montgomery's nine council districts.  These containers were funded by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management through a grant from the Alabama Recycling Fund

There are several ways that citizens can help make this program run smoothly and efficiently.  Please bag or box all items before placing in drop-off container.  The city of Montgomery's Sanitation Department regularly empties the containers and takes the materials to McInnis Recycling Center for sorting.  Citizens are also urged to rinse cans and plastic bottles before placing in container.  All types of paper are accepted for recycling.  If drop-off containers are full at one location, please take recyclables to another location.  Do not stack recyclables outside container.  Please refer to the list below to find the location nearest you.
