Two arrested in connection with city's 17th murder | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police say two men have been arrested for the city's 17th homicide of 2013 that was the result of an ongoing feud.
MPD detectives arrested and charged 18-year-old Khari Jackson and 18-year-old Wendell Scott with one count each of murder in connection with the March 21 shooting death of 18-year-old John Tolliver.
Authorities say they were originally called to the 4900 block of Hatton Avenue on the call of subject shot around 10:45 in the night of March 21. At the scene they located Tolliver who had sustained a gunshot wound - he was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
MPD's initial investigation indicated the shooting stemmed from an altercation. Further investigation revealed the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud between the victim, Jackson and Scott.
Jackson and Scott were taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force on Monday, March 25. They have been transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where they are being held under a $75,000 bond each.
