Police apprehend robbery suspect in Sturbridge Neighborhood | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery Police apprehended a robbery suspect in the Sturbridge Neighborhood Friday morning after a short search.
MPD says 36-year-old Alton Murry Jr. has been arrested and charged with two counts of first degree robbery after he robbed two individuals in the driveway of a residence in the 9300 block of Sturbridge Place.
MPD detectives believe this was a targeted robbery and say Murry is a co-worker of one of the victims.
During a search conducted by MPD SWAT, Patrol, K9 and a State Trooper helicopter, Murry was taken into custody in the vicinity of the robbery shortly after the offense. Following his arrest, Murry was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he was being held under a $120,000 bond.
