Authorities asking for help to identify purse snatching suspect | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Police say the subject shown in this photo snatched the purse of a victim while they were in a parking lot located in the 900 block of Ann Street.
The suspect then got into a light blue late-model Chevrolet Impala and fled the scene.
Montgomery Police and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers are working to identify the suspect. The person in question is wanted for theft of property first degree.

On Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 9:50 p.m., patrol conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Chevy Impala for a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, Emmanuel Murphy, 23. It was determined that the vehicle Murphy was driving was possibly used in a purse snatching incident at the Midtown Plaza shopping center on Ann Street on 1/25/13. Murphy was charged with Giving a False Name to a Law Enforcement Officer, Escape 3rd Degree and an outstanding Assault 3rd Degree with the City of Montgomery. This is an ongoing investigation with additional charges pending against Murphy upon further investigations.
