Woman shot at Montgomery hotel | Crime

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Two men are on the run in Montgomery after a woman was shot in the chest at a local hotel.

Authorities responded to the Quality Roof Inn at 5601 Carmichael Road at 11:10 a.m. Monday in reference to a subject shot.

When police arrived on the scene they found an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The woman was transported to a local hospital with possibly life threatening injuries. Her condition has since been upgraded to stable.

Police say the woman had been in an 'interaction' with two black male subjects, one of which shot her. Authorities say the two men fled the scene in a blue jeep-type vehicle.

The victim has not yet been identified - authorities say she is not from the Montgomery area.
