MPD makes arrest in city's 28th homicide | Crime
The Montgomery Police Department has arrested a suspect in the homicide of Oterious Belser, 26, of Montgomery, who died last week from injuries he received when he was struck by a motor vehicle November 18th.
MPD detectives charged Jeffery Lamarris Howard, 25, with murder in connection with Belser’s death. Howard was being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $75,000 bond.
MPD’s investigation indicates that the victim was intentionally struck by a vehicle at about 10:20 Sunday, November 18th, in the 100 block of Davis Drive. Belser was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in life-threatening condition. He later was airlifted to University Hospital in Birmingham, where he was pronounced dead Nov. 21st.
