Second arrest made in Montgomery's 24th homicide | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department has made a second arrest in the in the city's 24th homicide of 2012. A teenager has been charged in connection with the Oct. 10 death of 59-year-old John Scroggins.
Police arrested 17-year-old Ladarius Frazier on charges of capital murder, attempted murder and first-degree robbery relating to the Wednesday, Oct. 10 incident on the 1600 block of Crouson Street that killed 59-year-old John Scroggins and wounded an unidentified 43-year-old male.
This is the second arrest in connection with this case. Authorities arrested 19-year-old Jaquincy Croskey on Nov. 2 and charged him with one count of capital murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of first-degree robbery.
MPD's initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a possible robbery attempt.
Both Frazier and Croskey are being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
