Man pleads guilty to robbery, attempted murder | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A Montgomery man has entered a guilty plea for robbery and attempted murder related to a Halloween incident at a Woodley Road convenience store.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office says 36-year-old Gerrard Dixon pleaded guilty on Wednesday to attempted murder and robbery charges after he robbed and shot a clerk at the Road Runner Convenience Store on Woodley Road on October 31, 2011.
Dixon was arrested on Wednesday, December 7 following a police pursuit through the Forest Hills neighborhood.
The DA's Office says Dixon will be sentenced on August 28 to life in prison.
