Man charged with murder in connection with body found near community center | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police say a man has been arrested in connection with Montgomery's 11th homicide of the year.
Authorities say 20-year-old Terinartze Smith was arrested and charged with capital murder relating to the June 7 death of Carmichael Teague.
Teague's body was discovered near the Sheridan Heights Community Center on Faro Drive around 10:45 p.m. on June 7.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers had offered a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of a suspect in Teague's murder. It is unknown at this point if that reward played any part in Smith's arrest.
Smith has been booked in to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond.
