More felony charges for alleged serial rapist | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department signed additional warrants Monday charging a suspected serial rapist with six more felonies in connection with the sexual assaults of two women that occurred earlier this year in Montgomery.
After MPD charged him with multiple felonies earlier this year, Roderikus Alloway, 21, now faces additional charges of two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, and two counts of first-degree burglary, all Class-A felonies.
Alloway is being held at Bullock County Correctional Facility following probation revocation, according to a release from the Montgomery Police Department.
In April MPD charged Alloway with 12 felonies in connection with the sexual assaults of three women that occurred during the first two weeks of April. At the time of those initial arrests, MPD investigators believed they had identified two additional victims whose sexual assaults were linked to Alloway.
The first occurred in mid-February, and the second occurred in mid-March. MPD has subsequently developed information as part of its ongoing investigation that resulted in the additional charges against Alloway in connection with both of those assaults.
MPD's investigation confirmed that social networking was a factor in these sexual assaults.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities would not release any further details.
