MPD arrests man for child sex abuse | Crime

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A man has been placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility following allegations of child sexual abuse.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, 25-year-old Fernando Diaz was taken into custody and charged with one count each of first degree sodomy and first degree rape. The victim is a female juvenile.

Because of the age of the child, MPD cannot release any other identifying information.

Diaz was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility and is being held under bonds totaling $120,000.
