Man shot following argument for $5 | Crime

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An argument over $5 ended with gunfire in Montgomery on Tuesday night.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, officers were called to the area of Highland Avenue and Smythe Street around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29. An adult male had been shot by a 15-year-old male following an argument over $5.

The adult male was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody. He was charged with assault second degree and transported to the Montgomery County Youth Facility.
