Arrests made in Memorial Day shooting, robbery | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department has arrested two men in connection with the Memorial Day robbery and shooting that left a man in the hospital fighting for his life.
Police say 19-year-old Ladarius Brown and 18-year-old Nicholas Miller were both arrested and charged with first degree robbery in connection with this incident. Miller was also charged with one count of first degree assault.
An investigation into the incident indicated the victim, 53-year-old Tommy C. Fleming was in his vehicle when he was approached by the two subjects who robbed and fired at him before fleeing. Flemming, who was struck twice by gunfire, fled to the 600 block of Mill Street where he was found. Flemming was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, his condition has since been upgraded to stable.
Brown and Miller were taken into custody at their residences on Wednesday, both were transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where Brown in being held under a $60,000 bond and Miller is being held on $90,000 bond.
