Guitarist Mark Edwards to present recital at Huntingdon College | Arts & Culture
The Huntingdon College Faculty Recital Series will present a performance by classical guitarist Mark Edwards, Thursday, September 6, 7:30 p.m., in Smith Music Building's Delchamps Recital Hall on the Huntingdon campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Edwards has been described by the Montgomery Advertiser as a player who "transfers to another zone, effortlessly strumming, plucking, and picking a variety of classical masterpieces with clarity." He has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, and Germany and has garnered dozens of top prizes in the United States and Canada. Edwards completed his bachelor's degree studying in Columbus State University's Honors Program and his Master of Music in guitar performance and guitar pedagogy studying with Julian Gray at the Peabody Institute of Music.
