Montgomery County Humane Society Pet-of-the-Week

London is a five month old shepherd mix. His coat is brown with black highlights. He has a mask on his face that is very cute! London is up to date with routine vaccinations, he is heartworm negative and is on a preventative, he has a microchip, and he has already been neutered. London needs a little more work with walking on a leash and we are working on simple commands with him. He is smart and he is learning quickly the things we are teaching him. London is very playful and he loves to be outside in the play yard with his friends. With time, patience, and lots of love London will grow to be a trusted and loyal adult dog.

Foul odor at County Building forces some employees out

Posted by Samuel King - bio | email

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An odor inside the new Montgomery County Annex Building may be making some employees sick, and now they're moving out until the problem can be solved.

"Drowsiness, irritated eyes, congestion, those are the symptoms," said Scott Kramer, Risk Manager for Montgomery County.

Employees started complaining about the symptoms in August, but since then officials have been unable to get to the root of the problem.

Kramer says the building passed all environmental tests during its construction.   The county spent an estimated $15 million on renovations after it purchased the building from the Advertiser Company.
