VA chooses preliminary site for new clinic

Posted by Samuel King - bio | email

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - WSFA 12 News has learned that the Department of Veterans Affairs has chosen a preliminary location for its new medical clinic.  The site is on Chantilly Parkway and Ryan Road, near the Home Depot, inside the Montgomery city limits.

The site is owned jointly by Dubose Corporation and Kyser Property Management.  Kyser told WSFA 12 News the VA sent a letter confirming the Chantilly Parkway location as their first choice.  Montgomery County Commission Vice-President Reid Ingram says he talked to VA officials in Washington, who told him the same thing.

"They wanted somewhere there was easy access, there were hotels, and there were restaurants for people to get something to eat," Ingram said.
