Children with special needs to give back to St Judes Hospital
The Montgomery River Region AMBUCS Chapter will have a bike fitting at Young Meadow Presbyterian Church on Saturday March 26, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Eight children in the River Region area will be receiving their very own therapeutic AmTrykes. These trykes are therapeutic and are adapted to each child’s abilities whether it be additional back support, neck support, hand pedal adaptor, knee separator, or parents push bar.
Once a child is fitted for their AmTryke they are able to take their bike home and enjoy riding with siblings or friends around their neighborhoods while strengthening weak muscles.
On Saturday March 26th after the bike fitting the children and parents will head over to the Ida Bell Young Park on Vaughn Road and ride their new AmTrykes for a Trike-A-Thon, sponsored by St. Jude’s Hospital. They will be raising funds for St Jude’s Hospital.
